Culberson Statement on Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Bill for Areas Impacted by Hurricane Harvey

WASHINGTON, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — Congressman John Culberson (TX-07) released the following statement after House Appropriations Chairman Rodney Frelinghuysen announced an initial emergency supplemental appropriations bill to begin rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Harvey.

“I strongly support this essential down payment to begin the road to recovery from this disastrous storm. This measure will fund immediate, critical needs and must be passed as soon as possible. As a Houstonian and senior member of the appropriations committee in the House, I look forward to working with Speaker Ryan and Chairman Frelinghuysen to work out the details on a second funding bill to ensure flood victims are fairly compensated and flood control infrastructure is repaired and improved.”
