Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee ANNOUNCES $12,110,241 MILLION FEMA GRANT TO HARRIS COUNTY

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, announces a grant of over $12 million in federal funds to improve an existing storm water detention basin and provide for the construction of a new storm water detention basin. The project when completed will lower flood water surface elevations and reduce structure flooding.

The project will involve tracts of land located on the north side of Houston within the Greens Bayou Watershed. This grant will add approximately 3,219 acre-feet of storm water storage volume.
