CONGRESSMAN RUBÉN HINOJOSA ANNOUNCES $113,829 HUD GRANT AWARDED TO ALAMO HOUSING AUTHORIT

Washington, D.C. – August 8, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Today-Congressman Rubén Hinojosa (D-TX-15) announced the Alamo Housing Authority was awarded $113,829 in federal grant funding by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

“We continue to support the ongoing process of the upgrading and maintaining of our public housing”, said U.S. Rep. Hinojosa. “As our population grows and our economy strengthens, our residents will continue to benefit from federal grants that help provide needed housing. The directors and employees who manage the public housing agencies work every day assisting our residents in obtaining public housing and I am very happy to see they are receiving funds to help them continue their hard work in our communities”.

The funds will be used by the housing authority for management activities, including modernization and development of public housing. These funds may also be used as needed for financial activities, including payments of debt service and customary financing costs.
