THE COLONY, TX – June 15, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Matthews Southwest – one of the region’s most progressive developers – today announces Kathy Cunningham has been named Vice President at The Tribute Resort Community on the shores of Lake Lewisville.

Cunningham will manage all facets of the amenity-rich, master-planned community, including marketing and sales; relations with The Tribute’s best-in-class builders; coordinating with local and state government; and ensuring existing and prospective homeowners receive meticulous service.

She will advance Matthews Southwest’s mission of creating a residential-resort lifestyle with “next door” access to boating, world-class golf at The Old American and Tribute Golf Clubs, multi-use trails, parks, and award-winning schools.

“Kathy’s experience in developing and servicing master-planned communities is a tremendous asset to the company,” says Jack Matthews, president of Matthews Southwest. “We look forward to the energy and ideas she brings to the team.”

“The Tribute is a truly special place featuring a quality of life unrivaled in this region,” says Cunningham. “It is our goal to ensure homeowners receive unparalleled service as we continue to build one of the most sought-after communities in the Metroplex.”

Cunningham began her private sector career in 1983 at the Trammell Crow Company as a Project Manager of master-planned communities in the DFW marketplace. During her tenure with ClubCorp from 1990 to 2005 she added country club and destination golf resort development and marketing to her field of expertise before going to Southern Land Company in 2005 to manage Tucker Hill, a TND community, in McKinney, TX. Her previous public sector experience includes positions as Planning & Development Director, Economic Development Director and Assistant Director of Revenue & Taxation for the City of Dallas along with land and land rights procurement for the City of Denton on a consulting basis.
