HOUSTON, TX – August 20, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — The Houston Association of Realtors® Board of Directors announced its decision to support Stephen Costello for Houston City Council, At-large, Position 1 and Noel Freeman for Houston City Council, At-large, Position 4.

“I believe Stephen Costello’s experience in building a successful civil engineering business and his leadership on the Memorial Park Conservancy will bring a fresh perspective in resolving flooding, drainage and green space issues. He recognizes the need to balance residential and commercial development with environmental and quality of life interests, said HAR Bay Area Political Affairs Advisory Leadership Chair Nancy Furst of The Furst Group. “I’m excited about his candidacy and wholeheartedly recommend him to serve on Houston City Council.”

“As an employee of Houston’s Public Works and Engineering Department, Noel Freeman is the candidate in this race who is most experienced and knowledgeable of the infrastructure and transportation issues facing the Houston region. Those of us in the real estate and developer community, who have had the opportunity to work with Noel one-on-one, believe his hands-on knowledge, attention to detail, education and problem-solving ability will be an asset to City Council and to the Houston region,” said HAR Political Affairs Advisory Group Chairman Ray Holtzapple of Holtzapple/Neal Properties, Inc. “The Houston Association of Realtors® is pleased to endorse Noel Freeman for At-Large Position 4 in the November 3 election.”

In addition, HAR is also proud to continue its support for Sue Lovell for Houston City Council, At-large, Position 2 and Melissa Noriega for Houston City Council, At-large, Position 3.
