EQUITY OFFICE AND 5G STUDIO REVEAL NEW LOOK FOR SOLANA BUSINESS PARK

DALLAS – March 19, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Solana Business Park and architecture firm 5G Studio Collaborative today released final architectural design renderings of the property’s $50 million campus renovation.

5G Studio revealed designs that build on the inimitability of the original architectural design, while augmenting the “ranch cool” sophistication granted by the rural Texas setting. Renovations will update campus offerings, and provide corporate tenants with facilities and amenities they need in a contemporary work environment. Leading the way for the modern aesthetic is a fresh Solana logo design the property tapped local graphic design firm 70kft to execute.

“Our goal is to modernize an iconic property and provide businesses with the ultimate work-life balance atmosphere,” said Brian Driesse, director of asset management for Equity Office. “5G’s renderings exemplify this vision and we are excited to share them with our tenants, visitors and the public.”

5G’s renovation redesign strategy for Solana includes a renewal of the property’s modern ranch brand identity with transformations that will be visible in a new, harmonized color scheme. Natural prairie colors, weathered metal materials and the new Solana logo will be seen throughout the property renovations.

Additionally, a new, dramatic gateway entrance will provide visitors with a first impression of the “ranch cool” branding seen across campus. The approach accounts for amplified wayfinding, energized outdoor spaces for events and new property names.

In addition to physical renovations, the Solana brand is undergoing a refresh to mirror the rejuvenation of the property. Solana’s logo and color palate have been updated to invoke the property’s new elegant Texas vernacular. Additionally, Solana’s website has moved to www.discoversolana.com, and will provide information on property updates, schematics, amenities and other area surroundings.

Campus buildings have also been renamed to better align with the new property identity. The new names include: The Vista at Solana (formerly 1 E. Kirkwood), The Terrace at Solana (formerly Campus Circle) and The Plaza at Solana (formerly Village Circle).

“We’re looking forward to seeing tenants and visitors enjoy the realization of the new vision for Solana,” said Stephen Park, 5G Studio lead architect on the renovation. “This is an exciting time in the growth of business and expansion in DFW and in Texas, and we are eager to help set this strong economic momentum at Solana.”

Renovations are underway and expected to be completed by the end of 2015
