Commissioner Mattax appoints three to Texas Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association Board of Directors

AUSTIN – (RealEstateRama) — Insurance Commissioner David Mattax has appointed three members to serve on the board of directors of the Texas Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association. The board oversees the association, which helps to protect Texans if a property and casualty insurer fails.

Michael Wilson of Austin is a new public member appointment. Wilson is an attorney with Davis & Wright P.C. and has practiced law for over 20 years. A member of the State Bar of Texas and the Austin Bar Association, he received a bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University and a law degree from the University of Texas.

The commissioner also reappointed Jo Betsy Norton of Austin and Tiffany Reiner of Lucas to the board of directors. The terms of the three appointments expire on December 31, 2021.
