Congressman Al Green Discusses His Top Legislative Projects For the Rest of 2010
August 3, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — On Tuesday, August 3rd, Congressman Al Green (Texas 9th Congressional District) will visit KCOH Radio-1430 AM to talk about his top priorities for the rest of the 111th Congress. The Congressman will take phone calls from the audience and invites Houston’s media outlets to participate in the segment.

WHAT: Public discussion of the Johnson Space Center Workforce Stability Act of 2010 (H.R. 5855), the Housing Fairness Act of 2009 (H.R. 476) and the US 90-A Commuter Rail project.

WHY: As Congress enters its District Work Period, Congressman Al Green will highlight his legislative priorities, which benefit Houston and his constituents in the 9th Congressional District, including stabilizing the future of NASA’s workforce at the Johnson Space Center, promoting efforts to end housing discrimination and the development of a commuter rail line connecting residents of the City of Stafford and Missouri City to jobs in Downtown Houston and the Texas Medical Center.

I’m not a big fan of Al Green (more of Libertarian/Conservative), but I’m glad he’s working to help NASA; that agency is always being jerked around by politicians. There are few things I support big government in, but NASA is a national treasure.
