HUD SECRETARY DONOVAN, CONGRESMAN AL GREEN AND CONGRESSWOMAN SHEILA JACKSON LEE TO VISIT RECOVERY ACT-FUNDED REDEVELOPMENT THAT IS CREATING JOBS, AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN HOUSTON
HOUSTON, TX – July 30, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — As part of the Obama Administration’s “Recovery Summer” initiative, U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Shaun Donovan will travel to Houston, TX on Monday, August 2 to tour Kennedy Park Place, a new affordable housing redevelopment that is currently under construction using $7.8 million in HUD Recovery Act funds.
Secretary Donovan will be joined by U.S. Representatives Al Green and Sheila Jackson Lee. Following the tour, they will hold a press conference to discuss how, throughout the summer, Recovery Act-funded construction projects are kicking into high gear and putting Americans back to work.
